Agartala, September 25, 2025: Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Thursday met Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya Scindia, in New Delhi and discussed the state’s ongoing tourism initiatives and future plans.

Speaking about the meeting, Chowdhury said, “I presented in detail the various activities currently being undertaken by the Tourism Department of Tripura, along with our future plans. I also sought the necessary assistance and financial support from the DoNER Ministry to move forward with some new tourism projects.”

The Union Minister assured full cooperation in strengthening Tripura’s tourism sector. “Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia Ji expressed his commitment to extend all possible support for the development of tourism in Tripura,” Chowdhury added.

He further informed that Tourism Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma and Director Prashant Badal Negi were also present during the meeting.
