Tripura: Traffic Diversion Plan Issued Ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s Visit to Mata Tripura Sundari Temple at Udaipur

Agartala, September 20, 2025: To facilitate smooth traffic movement during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Udaipur on September 22 for the inauguration of the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple beautification project, the Gomati District Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory with alternative routes for vehicles.

In an official communication to the District Magistrate and Collector, the Superintendent of Police, Gomati, outlined diversions covering key routes connecting Agartala, South Tripura, Amarpur, and Udaipur.

According to the order, vehicles from South Tripura heading towards Agartala will be diverted through Garjee–Tulamura–Kakraban–Melaghar–Bishramganj, while traffic from Agartala to South Tripura will follow the reverse route.

For travel between Amarpur and Agartala, vehicles from Amarpur will pass via Dropgate Market, Dhanisagar Bank, Jail Road, New Town Road, and Chanban Bridge. In the opposite direction, vehicles from Agartala to Amarpur will use Chanban Subash Bridge, Central Road, Poultry Road, and Dropgate Market.

Similarly, vehicles between Melaghar/Kakraban and Udaipur will be routed via Kishoreganj–Shilghati–Tepania.

Authorities have urged commuters to follow the advisory to avoid inconvenience and ensure smooth traffic flow during the high-profile visit.
