Agartala, May 31, 2025: Panic gripped the residents of Tripura’s Bardhan Para, Nandannagar in Agartala city on Saturday morning after the dead body of a woman was found in a forested area near her home. The deceased identified as Malati Rudra Pal was reportedly out for her routine morning walk when the tragic incident took place.

According to her family members, Malati had left home early in the morning, as she did every day. When she failed to return at the usual time, they began searching the nearby area. Their worst fears came true when they discovered her lifeless body lying in a pool of blood near a forest adjacent to the main road.

“She never missed her morning walks. We never imagined we would find her like this,” said a grieving family member. They also claimed that her gold ornaments were missing, raising strong suspicions of robbery and possible foul play.

The police were immediately informed and promptly arrived at the scene. They recovered the body and sent it to the hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

A senior police official stated, “We have registered a case and begun our investigation. The possibility of robbery leading to murder cannot be ruled out at this stage.”

Locals are demanding a thorough investigation and increased patrolling in the area to ensure safety.
