Agartala, September 09, 2025: A youth was critically injured in a shooting incident late last night in Tripura’s Debendra Para, under the Longtharai Valley subdivision of Dhalai district. The incident has sparked panic across the region. The victim, identified as Sadamani Tripura (45), is currently undergoing treatment at Ambassa District Hospital, where doctors have described his condition as critical.
Local residents reported hearing gunshots around midnight. Upon rushing to the scene, they found Sadamani Tripura lying in a pool of blood. He was immediately taken to the nearby Chailengta Hospital for initial treatment and later referred to Ambassa District Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
Following the incident, police swiftly arrived at the location. Based on statements from the victim’s family, two individuals Karmsing Tripura and Khaksa Mohan Tripura were allegedly involved in the shooting. Both suspects have been detained, and an investigation is currently underway.
