Agartala, November 21, 2025: Tripura’s rural development initiatives received national attention on Friday as CEO of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, presented the achievements of Project TRIPTI at the CEO Conclave being held at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi, in the presence of representatives from 21 states.
During his presentation, Chakma highlighted that Project TRIPTI, implemented with an outlay of ₹15 crore, has already benefited 4,000 households across Ambassa, Ganganagar, and Dasda blocks by providing business assets, financial services, market linkages, and enterprise training—leading to annual income increases of up to ₹20,000 per family.
He further outlined TRLM’s major livelihood expansion initiatives for ST, SC, PVTG, and economically vulnerable households in remote areas of the state, which include Project TRIPTI with an outlay of ₹15 crore, the ₹40-crore Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana that has been approved and is awaiting inauguration, and the CM Nabadisha Abhiyan worth ₹50 crore, which has already been inaugurated by the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.

With these schemes, a total of ₹105 crore is currently in the pipeline to accelerate poverty reduction and build sustainable rural enterprises in Tripura.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the upcoming Saras Mela, scheduled for mid-December, where thousands of SHG women will showcase local crafts, food products, and innovations. A state-level review meeting chaired by CEO Chakma is finalizing the inauguration schedule in consultation with the Chief Minister’s Office.
TRLM also recently launched Samriddhi 2.0, a statewide fast-track credit campaign aiming to facilitate ₹181 crore in loan sanctions within 40 days for 6,000 SHG group loans and 1,500 individual loans, following the success of Samriddhi 1.0 which mobilized ₹198 crore.
Officials say Tripura is emerging as a national model in rural transformation through synchronized strategies in credit access, livelihood promotion, digital skilling, and community enterprise development.
