Kohima, Jan 12: Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey met Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio during his official visit to Kohima to review the implementation of central government schemes in the state.
The meeting took place as part of Dubey’s two-day visit to Nagaland under the Union ministers’ fortnightly tours of the Northeast. Chief Minister Rio welcomed the minister and said he was hopeful that the visit would lead to positive outcomes for the state. He also conveyed his greetings through a post on social media platform X.
Dubey arrived in Nagaland on Saturday afternoon and began his visit with a tour of Rusoma village, where he reviewed ongoing development projects. On Sunday, the Union minister visited several key locations in and around Kohima, including the Kohima War Cemetery, Kohima Ridge Eco Park, the multi-level parking facility under the Kohima Smart City project at PR Hill, and the Primary Health Centre at Sechu-Zubza while travelling towards Dimapur.
The visit is aimed at assessing the progress of central schemes and strengthening coordination between the Union government and the Nagaland administration.
