Agartala: February 11, 2026: Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan will unveil and inaugurate a series of rural development projects, works and fund disbursals amounting to ₹546.73 crore at Swami Vivekananda Maidan here on Wednesday. The programme will be attended by Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha.
A major component of the event will be the disbursal of ₹103.84 crore under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), aimed at strengthening self-help groups, livelihood opportunities and income-generation initiatives across rural Tripura.
Under the Ministry of Rural Development, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister will jointly inaugurate several infrastructure projects, including Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) works covering 87.015 kilometres at a cost of ₹79.50 crore. In addition, rural road projects spanning 262.216 kilometres worth ₹243.22 crore will be inaugurated.

The programme will also mark the inauguration of 50 kilometres of all-weather roads along with 22 key development projects, collectively valued at ₹120 crore, aimed at improving connectivity, access to services and overall rural infrastructure in the state.
Ahead of the main event, a team comprising senior officials and employees of the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission visited Swami Vivekananda Maidan on Tuesday to oversee and review the arrangements and works allotted to TRLM for the programme.
The large-scale inauguration and fund disbursal are expected to give a significant boost to rural development, connectivity and livelihood enhancement efforts across Tripura.
