Agartala, November 26, 2025: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram on Wednesday visited Unakoti district as part of the Centre’s ‘Purvottar Sampark Setu’ outreach, conducting a key review meeting on the status of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in Tripura.
The meeting, held with senior members of the state government including Ministers Tinku Roy, Bikash Debbarma, Sudhangshu Das and MLA Bhagaban Das, focused on assessing ongoing projects and improving the delivery of welfare initiatives. Officials discussed measures to strengthen implementation so that the benefits of central schemes reach citizens more efficiently.
After the meeting, Oram took to social media to commend the state’s efforts under Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. He wrote that the Tripura government is “doing commendable work” to ensure effective execution of Central schemes and direct benefit delivery to citizens.
The Union Minister began his Tripura tour on Tuesday, arriving at Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, where he was received by Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma and senior officials of the department.
According to officials, Oram’s visit aims to review tribal development projects, evaluate the progress of welfare schemes and outline upcoming priorities. His itinerary includes visits to tribal areas across multiple districts to interact with local communities and inspect field-level implementation.
Starting from Agartala, the minister is scheduled to travel through various parts of the state, underscoring the Centre’s continued emphasis on tribal welfare and its strengthened outreach to the North-East through focused initiatives.
