Gangtok, Jan 7: Uttar Pradesh Ministers JPS Rathore, the Minister of State for the Cooperative Department, and Om Prakash Rajbhar, the Minister of Panchayati Raj, visited the official residence of Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Uttar Pradesh ministers extended a formal invitation to CM Tamang to participate in the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela, set to be held in Prayagraj in 2025. The grand event, which occurs once every 12 years, is expected to draw millions of devotees from across the globe.
CM Tamang expressed his appreciation for the invitation and confirmed his participation. He also announced plans to attend with a delegation from Sikkim, including cultural performers and spiritual leaders. “I am honored to be part of such an important spiritual gathering,” he remarked, expressing his gratitude to the ministers for their warm gesture.
