Gangtok, Jan 5: Uttarakhand Minister for Tourism, Culture and Irrigation, Satpal Maharaj, called on Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan on Sunday.

During the meeting, the Minister extended New Year greetings, which the Governor reciprocated, wishing him happiness and well-being.

The two leaders discussed initiatives by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department and exchanged views on the cultural heritage and natural beauty of both Sikkim and Uttarakhand. They emphasized the need for collaboration to promote tourism in the two Himalayan states.

Satpal Maharaj is on a three-day visit to Sikkim.
