Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan to Visit Tripura on March 7; Administration Gears Up

Agartala, March 05, 2026: The Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan is set to visit Tripura on a two-day official tour beginning March 7, with the state administration initiating extensive preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of all scheduled programmes.

Briefing the media personnel here, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar said, “The Vice President will arrive in the state on March 7. Necessary administrative and security arrangements have already been put in place to facilitate his visit.”

According to the itinerary, on the morning of March 8, the Vice President will pay floral tributes to the brave soldiers at the Albert Ekka War Memorial in Agartala. “He will offer homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives in service of the nation,” the District Magistrate stated.

Following this, he will travel to Udaipur to offer prayers at the revered Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and a prominent spiritual centre in the region.

Later in the day, the Vice President will attend the 14th convocation ceremony of Tripura University. During the event, he is scheduled to confer degrees upon graduating students and participate in other formal academic proceedings.

In addition, he will interact with ‘Lakhpati Didis’ at the International Fair premises in Hapania, where he is expected to exchange views on women-led self-help initiatives and empowerment programmes.

“The administration is coordinating closely with all concerned departments to ensure the visit is conducted smoothly and with full protocol,” Dr. Kumar added.
