Gangtok, May 14: Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar is scheduled to visit Sikkim on May 17 and 18, 2025. In preparation for the visit, a high-level meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary R Telang at the Tashiling Secretariat on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on finalising the Vice President’s tentative itinerary and reviewing arrangements at the designated venues. Discussions included programme formats, travel logistics, liaison officer deployment, accommodation, medical support, catering, transportation, and budget provisions.
The Chief Secretary urged all departments to extend full cooperation to ensure the smooth conduct of the Vice President’s visit. As part of the two-day programme, the Vice President will interact with school and university students and visit the Sikkim Legislative Assembly.
The meeting was attended by Heads of Departments and senior officials from all concerned departments.
