Agartala, May 30, 2025: The state of Tripura marked the grand launch of the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Yatra’ with the active participation of 14,430 farmers across eight districts on the inaugural day i.e. yesterday. A total of 24 teams were deployed covering 72 Gram Panchayats and Village Councils in eight districts.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated the campaign at Bishramganj, highlighting the state’s commitment to empowering farmers and promoting agricultural development.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy took part in the inaugural programme in Gomati district, while Co-Operation and Minority Welfare Minister Shukla Charan Noatia attended the event in South Tripura district. Meanwhile, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy was present at the inauguration held in Unakoti district extending support to the farming community.

Of the 14,430 farmers who participated in the yatra, 8,567 were male and 5,863 were female—showcasing strong engagement from women in agriculture.
