Kohima, Nov 29: Nagaland Governor La Ganesan emphasized the significant role women play in the socio-economic development of the country, highlighting that their contributions are often underappreciated.
Speaking at a seminar titled “Women Working in the Unorganised Sector in Nagaland: Challenges and Opportunities,” Ganesan underscored the challenges faced by women, particularly those in the informal sector, such as street vendors and nano-entrepreneurs. The event, organized by Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) in partnership with the National Commission for Women, aimed to raise awareness about the struggles and opportunities for women working in Nagaland’s unorganised sector.
In his address, the Governor called for greater recognition and support for women, acknowledging their critical role in the socio-economic development of the state and the country.
