Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday distributed 6,347 appointment letters to candidates selected for Grade-III posts through the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) at Sarusajai.

Sarma highlighted the transparency and efficiency of the ADRE process, noting that exams were conducted on a single day across 28 districts for over 9.12 lakh candidates, with internet services suspended to prevent malpractices. He emphasized that the unified system and dedicated commissions have ensured a credible process, with no court challenges.

This distribution comes a day after 4,369 Grade-IV candidates received their appointment letters, taking the total government jobs provided under the current administration to 1,50,033, surpassing the 2021 Assembly election promise of one lakh jobs.

The Chief Minister urged new recruits to serve diligently and announced that the ‘Swagata Satirtha’ portal for employee mutual transfers will reopen on February 1. He reiterated that merit-based, transparent recruitment has strengthened youth trust and encouraged entrepreneurship for further job creation.
