Monsoon rains continue to disrupt daily life across several parts of India, with Kerala, Karnataka, and Manipur among the worst affected. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall on May 30 in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Karnataka, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh.

In Manipur, relentless rains over the past two days have caused severe waterlogging in the state capital, Imphal. Key areas such as Kakwa, Thangmeiband, and Sagolband in Imphal West district have reported blocked roads and flooding.

The situation is further aggravated by a significant rise in water levels of the Imphal and Serou rivers, which flow through the Imphal valley.

In Kangpokpi district, incessant rains over the past two days triggered landslides along NH-37, disrupting traffic between K. Sinam and Sehjang villages near Nungdolan in Kangpokpi District.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as monsoon activity intensifies across the region.
