Agartala, December 20, 2021 : Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma, a hermit of Shanti Kali Ashram in Tripura has been conferred with the ‘8th Karmayogi Award 2021’ on Sunday.
The ‘8th Karmayogi Awards 2021’ ceremony was organized by a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), My Home India – a social body aiming to bringing emotional integration between citizens.
The General Secretary of Ganga Mahasabha, Swami Jitendranand Saraswati honoured Swami Chittaranjan with the ‘Karmayogi Award 2021’ in presence of the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao, who attended the event as its chief guest.
Born on January 22, 1962 in Barkathal of Tripura, Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma has been a part of Shanti Kali Ashram in Tripura for a long time.
After his formal education, Debbarma entered the service as Panchayat Secretary. In one of his official tours, he also received an opportunity to become a disciple of Swami Kali Ji Maharaj, who later was assassinated by militants.
After Swami Kali Ji Maharaj left for his heavenly abode, Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma took charge of the concerned ashram.
He is a true Karmayogi who dedicated his life to deliver education among poor tribal children of Tripura and inculcating traditional & cultural values in them.
