Initiative Driving Towards Mass Training Of Faculties; Transforms Landscape Of Manipur’s Education Sector

In an effort to ensure that faculties across Manipur, attain requisite training on various contemporary teaching methodologies; the state administration’s flagship programme – STAR (System Transformation and Rejuvenation) Education is relentlessly driving the mass coaching of teachers in partnership with the New Globe Education.

This mass training is led by 56 strong staff from New Globe, including 8 experts from different countries.

In order to emphasize the point, the Manipur Chief Minister – N. Biren Singh posted a video which details about the mass training.

The concerned effort aims to transform the landscape of education sector in Manipur, through excellence in teaching and learning in classrooms.

It involves training of over 1500 teachers and headmasters from over 250 schools across 16 districts of the state. The second phase of this training is currently underway with 700 teachers.

More than 59 experts from the New Global Team are leading the mass training. Under this scheme, innovative technology and data-driven platform are deployed to transform the education system.

Besides, high-quality teaching-learning materials are also provided to enhance teachers’ capabilities. Coaching of teachers and school leaders alongwith technology-enabled support teams are component of the initiative; which ensures strong learning outcomes for children and growth of the state.

The Manipur Government has also decided to provide 2500 tablets to government teachers and 500 mobile phones to school leaders. Therefore, the state administration is striving hard to provide quality and affordable education to every student through the programmes.
