The Assam police have apprehended three men for allegedly gang-raping a 15-year-old girl in Goalpara district’s Agia area.

These accused have been identified as – Mamud Alam, Akkas Ali and Azibul Hoque.

According to ANI report, the accused gangraped the minor while she was returning from school.

The incident took place on October 1. While, the family of the victim lodged a complaint in connection with the incident on October 3.

“In accordance with the police complaint, a probe was immediately launched,” as informed by the DSP of Assam’s Goalpara district – Anurag Sarma.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
