The Manipur Government has released the long-awaited results of 10th and 11th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) recruitment examination results on Friday, providing much-needed respite to cop aspirants of the northeastern state.
According to the notification issued by the Director General of Police (DGP), altogether 1,830 candidates have been “selected for appointment in order of merit as Rifleman in Manipur Police Department subject to police verification and medical examination reports”.
Hundreds of candidates were spotted waiting on the street far past midnight on Friday, prior to the declaration of the results.
As per the notification, the selected candidates must report to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at (1st MR) office between October 20-22 for collection of police verification form, and submit the same along with relevant documents on or before October 28 during the working hours.
The Chief Minister – N. Biren Singh on June noted that following the completion of their training, the newly-hired IRB employees will serve as highway protection force.
Its worthy to note that the Written Test Examination for recruitment of 10th and 11th IRBn Riflemen was held on January 20, 2020 at Imphal.
A total of 6,750 candidates were selected for the written test and had given their viva-voce examination. The viva-voce for the 415 applicants selected in the written test for the position of ‘Jemadar’ is yet to be conducted.
