TIPRA Motha Chairman Urge Citizens To Remain United For Next 3 Months; To Achieve ‘Greater Tipraland’

Agartala, October 15, 2022 : Admiring the significant contributions of late former minister Nagendra Jamatia, eminent philanthropist Shyama Charan Tripura and martyred Bir Bikram Jamatia, the Advisor and Chairman of Administrative Reforms Committee and royal scion – Pradyot Bikram Kishore Manikya on Friday urged the indigenous people to remain united for next three months to achieve “Greater Tipraland”.

The memorial statues of former minister late Nagendra Jamatia, eminent philanthropist Shyama Charan Tripura and martyr Bir Bikram Jamatia have been unveiled in front of the main gate of TTAADC’s main administrative building in Khumulwng on Friday.

Addressing the unveiling ceremony, Pradyot Bikram Kishore Manikya said that he is ready to sacrifice his life to build “Greater Tipraland” for the people and is not willing to compromise. He said “Thansa (Unity) is my strength, there are many pressures from the state and outside the state to compromise. Tiprasa people can protect me. The CRPF and police cannot protect me. I don’t want anything. I want to remove the plight of people.”

Citing the contributions of many including Nagendra Jamatia, Bir Bikram Jamatia and Shyamacharan Tripura, Pradyot said “They have organized movements for the rights of the people on that day. In those days there were no facilities like today. They managed to form ADC by agitating for the people from the remote situation. If we can stay united for only three months then we will be able to get Greater Tipraland.” He urged the people to unite and organize the movement and the new generation will know that many people like them were agitating for ADC on that day.

ADC Chairman Jagdish Debbarma, Chief Executive Member Purnachandra Jamatia, Executive Members Chittaranjan Debbarma, Kamal Kalai, Bhabharanjan Reang, Dolly Reang and Rajesh Tripura, MLA Mevar Kumar Jamatia, MDCs Hansa Kumar Tripura, Umashankar Debbarma, Debajit Tripura, Ganesh Debbarma, West Zonal Chairman Ranjit Debbarma and former executive member Chandradaya Rupini was present, besides late Shyamacharan Tripura’s wife Banalakshi Tripura, Nagendra Jamatia’s wife Pabitra Rani Jamatia and martyr Bir Bikram Jamatia’s brother Purnakripa Jamatia were also present.

The welcome address was given by Chief Executive Officer CK Jamatia while Additional Chief Executive Officer Dhanbabu Reang gave vote of thanks. In the beginning, the students of Folk Music College performed the opening music.
