Tripura: Cannabis Worth Over Rs 1 Crore Seized From Dhalai District; 2 Held

Agartala, November 10, 2022: The Radhanagar Battalion of 21st Sector of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), recovered 338 kilograms of Marijuana worth Rs 1.3 crores from Tripura’s Betbagan area under Ambassa police station in Dhalai district on Wednesday last.

Based on specific inputs, the paramilitary troop and Ambassa police station staff launched a joint operation and seized one vehicle along with driver Tapan Debbarma and co-driver Samrit Debbarma with 338 kilograms of cannabis worth Rs. 1.3 crores from their possession.

The individual along with seized vehicle and cannabis were handed over to Ambassa police station in Dhalai district for further investigation and legal proceedings.
