Guwahati, July 24, 2023: In an unfortunate incident, Deputy Inspector General (Law & Order) Vivek Raj Singh fell victim to mobile phone snatchers on Sunday.

Motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched his phone while he was taking a morning walk on Mazar Road in Ulubari, which is in close proximity to the police headquarters in central Guwahati.

This incident has caused embarrassment to the Assam Police, especially considering its occurrence in such a closely situated area to where senior officials, including the DGP, are stationed.
