Agartala, August 24, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday morning spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the ongoing flood crisis in the state. The CM provided a detailed update on the current situation and requested the immediate deployment of additional National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams to assist in the state’s response efforts.

“I spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and briefed him on the severe flood situation that has affected our state,” Dr. Saha said. “I also requested the dispatch of additional NDRF teams to support our ongoing relief and rescue operations.”

In response, the Home Minister assured the Chief Minister of full support from the central government. “Home Minister Amit Shah has assured me of all possible assistance during this crisis, and I am deeply grateful to him for his commitment to helping us in this challenging time,” Dr. Saha added.
