Kohima, Oct 26: Deputy Chief Minister T R Zeliang has praised the impact of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Nagaland’s economy, citing significant growth in sales tax revenue compared to the previous tax regime.

Speaking at the GST Refresher Training cum Stakeholder’s Meet 2024, Zeliang noted that GST has revolutionized India’s indirect taxation system, simplifying compliance for businesses and individuals.

Nagaland has witnessed tremendous improvement in sales tax revenue since GST implementation, Zeliang said, highlighting the state’s proactive approach to GST adoption.
