Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma has inaugurated the state’s new e-Ram online service portal, marking a significant step towards modernizing land records and services. Developed by the Land Revenue & Settlement Department, with technical expertise from Lailen Consultancy and Director Pu V. Lalduhzuala, the portal aims to make land-related processes more accessible and efficient.
The e-Ram portal, funded with Rs. 6.4 crore from the Ministry of DoNER, will initially be implemented as a pilot project in Aizawl District.
The portal will offer 27 services provided by the Revenue Department, and individuals can access it through Common Service Centres (CSCs) across the state.
Land Revenue & Settlement Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova emphasized the significance of the e-Ram portal in modernizing Mizoram’s land records system. To address land surveying challenges, an empanelment system for survey firms will be implemented.
Prominent attendees at the launch included Dr. Lorraine Lalpekliana Chinzah, adviser to the Chief Minister, government officials, and MLAs.
This initiative is expected to bring transparency and convenience to land-related transactions in Mizoram.
