Shillong, Nov 28: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday inaugurated the much-anticipated Umtrew Biological Park in Ri Bhoi district. This long-awaited project, which had been under development for nearly 24 years, marks a significant milestone in the state’s growth.
In his address, Sangma emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing infrastructure in Meghalaya. While acknowledging that several facilities, such as ticket counters, cafeterias, and souvenir shops, are still under construction, he stressed the importance of starting operations to ensure the park’s functionality.
