Itanagar, Dec 19: In a significant development, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh has dismissed Gomo Sora, Finance & Accounts Officer at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Yupia, with immediate effect.

The dismissal order, dated December 9, 2024, cites Sora’s involvement in the paper leakage scam of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) in Itanagar.

According to official sources, Sora was charge-sheeted on January 6, 2023, for initiating disciplinary proceedings under Rule 14 of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965.

After careful consideration, the Governor decided to impose the major penalty of dismissal from service, citing that Sora’s conduct was unbecoming of a public servant.
