A video journalist sustained an injury to his left leg while reporting the attacks in Thamnapokpi, Imphal East, early Saturday morning. The journalist, identified as Kavichandra of Impact TV, a regional television channel, was rushed to a hospital in Imphal for further treatment.

Suspected Kuki militants launched a series of assaults from the hilltops of Kangpokpi district, targeting peripheral areas, including Sanasabi and Thamnapokpi, since Friday.
