The Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the non-payment of bills for the NDB Water Supply Scheme for Tamenglong, Nungba, Noney, and Tousem areas has announced the continuation of the indefinite economic blockade on National Highway-37.

In a fresh press statement, the JAC expressed disappointment over the state government’s failure to fulfill its promise of addressing the issue. The committee reiterated that the blockade, which began on December 16, 2024, will remain in place until the pending bills are released.

The JAC emphasized the importance of resolving the matter promptly, urging the government to act responsibly to end the ongoing impasse affecting essential supply routes.
