The Jiribam District Police have arrested three individuals in connection with illegal immigration and the possession of counterfeit Inner Line Permits (ILP).

The first arrest occurred on January 9, 2025, when Sambabu Rabidas of Kaptanpur Part-16, Rangirkhari, was found with a fake Labour ILP purportedly issued by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Tamenglong.

Subsequently, two more arrests were made, including Jitendra Kumar, a staff member of the DC Office, Tamenglong, and Gaiphulung Bosco Pamei, who works in the ILP issuing section of the same office. Pamei was taken into custody on January 19, 2025.

A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing to combat illegal immigration and uphold the integrity of the ILP system in Manipur.
