Speaking at a grand function organized by Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, Dr. Saha called on the youth to draw inspiration from the life and contributions of the great leader.

“Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is forever remembered as a legendary leader in the freedom struggle,” said the Chief Minister, addressing an enthusiastic crowd. “He sacrificed his entire life for the country’s independence and left an indelible mark in history.”

The celebrations began with Dr. Saha hoisting the national flag, followed by a vibrant procession through Agartala city, organized in collaboration with students of the school. The event was graced by the presence of former MLA Dr. Dilip Das, Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, Corporator Ratna Datta, and other dignitaries.

The colorful procession, marked by immense enthusiasm from the youth, highlighted various themes, including the life of Ramlala and messages of social awareness. Participants showcased their creative interpretations of Netaji’s life and mission, reflecting their admiration for the freedom fighter.

Praising Netaji’s indomitable spirit, Dr. Saha recounted his role in the freedom struggle. “Netaji left the Congress party and founded the Forward Bloc, advocating for India’s immediate and complete independence from British rule. Despite being imprisoned eleven times by the British authorities, he remained unstoppable,” said the Chief Minister.

He also urged the younger generation to study Netaji’s life and ideology, noting its relevance in shaping the nation’s future. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the country forward, and understanding the values and vision of Netaji is essential to contributing to this journey,” Dr. Saha said.

Quoting Netaji’s famous words, “You give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” the Chief Minister remarked on the profound impact of his leadership. “His patriotism and dedication to the freedom struggle continue to inspire us all.”

Dr. Saha also highlighted Netaji’s strategic efforts during World War II, recalling how he sought alliances with countries like the Soviet Union, Germany, and Japan to challenge British rule. “Netaji’s leadership in reorganizing the Azad Hind Fauz and his unwavering demand for complete independence, even when the Congress Committee favored Dominion Status, demonstrated his revolutionary vision,” he added.

The Chief Minister concluded by emphasizing the need to keep Netaji’s legacy alive. “His life is a beacon of inspiration, teaching us the true meaning of dedication, patriotism, and sacrifice,” he said, urging the youth to carry forward his ideals.
