Guwahati, Jan 25: Assam Police have apprehended six Bangladeshi nationals and pushed them back to their home country, as part of the state’s continued efforts to tackle illegal infiltration.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the action on Friday through a post on X, stating, “Assam Police continues its crackdown on infiltration, 6 Bangladeshi nationals apprehended.” He did not reveal the district where the incident took place.

The move highlights Assam’s ongoing focus on securing its borders against illegal immigration.
