Sikkim Governor And Cooperative Union Chairman Discuss Development Initiatives

Gangtok, Apr 16: The Chairman of the Sikkim State Cooperative Union and President of Sahakar Bharati Sikkim State Unit, Mangal Jit Rai, met with the Governor of Sikkim, Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on various initiatives under the Sikkim Cooperative movement, including training programs aimed at empowering women cooperatives. The Chairman also informed the Governor about the supply of milk by the Sikkim Milk Union to Army units stationed in Sikkim and North Bengal.

Governor Mathur highlighted the role of cooperatives in socio-economic development and encouraged continued dedication to these efforts. He extended his best wishes to both the Sikkim State Cooperative Union and the Sahakar Bharati Sikkim State Unit for their future endeavors.
