Guwahati, Apr 17: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said that the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) is set to be transformed into one of the largest hospitals in the country as part of the state government’s major healthcare expansion initiative.
An 800-bed Mother and Child Care (MCC) Hospital is currently under construction on the GMCH campus. The new facility will offer specialised paediatric care and advanced medical treatment.
