In a series of successful operations, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Tripura have thwarted several smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh International Border over the past two days.
On April 19, 2025, BSF Tripura, in collaboration with local police, seized a significant consignment of cigarettes worth ₹13,20,000 intended for smuggling to Bangladesh in the Karamtila village area, under PS Srinagar.
The same day, BSF Tripura Frontier troops successfully intercepted a major drug smuggling attempt at Border Outpost Rayermura, seizing 1,400 Yaba tablets valued at ₹14,00,000.
In the early hours of April 20, 2025, BSF Tripura successfully foiled multiple smuggling attempts along the border. Troops rescued eight cattle and confiscated contraband items including 50 kg of ganja, rice, and other goods, totaling ₹4,56,820 in value.
These operations highlight the relentless efforts of BSF Tripura in curbing cross-border smuggling and ensuring the security of the region.
