IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall And Thunderstorms In Northeast India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in Northeast India, while also forecasting a heatwave in parts of North and Central India.

Over the next two days, states such as Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh are expected to experience heatwave conditions.

Additionally, hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in regions like Bihar, Jharkhand, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Gujarat, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Rayalaseema on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.

Over the next 2-3 days, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are expected in parts of Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Interior Karnataka.
