Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein chaired a key meeting at Arunachal Bhawan, Guwahati, with the Bhupen Hazarika Cultural Trust and the Organizing Committee to discuss preparations for the birth centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. The event, set to take place on 13th September 2025, aims to honor the legendary artist whose music and messages continue to inspire generations.

The planned celebrations will feature cultural performances, renditions of Bhupendra Sangeet by local artists, and a cultural exchange program between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The event will also reflect on Dr. Hazarika’s enduring legacy and his special connection to Arunachal Pradesh.

The government is committed to upholding the values of unity, culture, and humanity, as exemplified by Dr. Hazarika, as the centenary celebration approaches.
