Agartala, April 25, 2025: On instructions from Delhi, Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha today convened a high-level video conference with all District Magistrates (DMs) and District Superintendents of Police (SPs) at the Secretariat Complex. The meeting focused on strengthening the state’s security framework and ensuring the timely execution of government projects through a Task Monitoring System.

Speaking during the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Saha emphasized the need for strict vigilance and efficient administration. “The timely implementation of government projects is non-negotiable. Our officers must remain proactive and result-oriented,” said Dr. Saha.

Amid rising concerns over separatist activities in Kashmir, the Chief Minister urged the police to enhance surveillance and tighten security measures across the state. “In light of the ongoing developments in Kashmir, it is imperative that we remain alert and safeguard our state from any potential threats,” he added.

According to reliable sources, Dr. Saha also issued a direct instruction for the immediate identification and deportation of any Pakistani nationals currently present in Tripura. This directive is reported to have come following guidance from the Union Home Minister.

“This is a matter of national interest and internal security. Necessary steps must be taken without delay,” Dr. Saha is believed to have said during the meeting.

The video conference highlighted the government’s determination to maintain law and order while aligning closely with national directives to ensure security and administrative efficiency throughout the state.
