Agartala, May 07, 2025: In a strong show of solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday voiced firm support for the central government’s response to cross-border terrorism, citing repeated attacks on Indian soil as justification for a forceful reply.
Reacting to the launch of Operation Sindoor, Dr. Saha condemned the recent killing of 26 individuals in Pahalgam by Pakistan-based terrorists, describing the act as “brutal and unforgivable.”
“The Prime Minister has made it clear—no one will be spared. India will not remain silent until terrorism is uprooted,” Dr. Saha said, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance. He noted that the operation began in the early hours and successfully targeted terrorist and training camps, with several militants reportedly neutralized. “What PM Modi says, he delivers,” he added.
Reaffirming public support, the Chief Minister said the people of Tripura stand united with the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. He also mentioned that a mock drill is scheduled to take place as part of preparedness efforts.
“India has endured numerous terrorist attacks over the years. Now is the time to respond decisively. Our Armed Forces have sent a clear message,” Dr. Saha stated.
The central government has briefed the public on the rationale and execution of the operation, underlining its commitment to national security amid escalating threats.
