Shillong, May 8: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday handed over a cheque of ₹1 crore to Nazareth Hospital in Shillong as the first installment under the state’s Meghalaya Health Advancement Policy. This initiative marks the beginning of a ₹2 crore financial aid program to assist non-profit hospitals across the state.
Sangma praised Nazareth Hospital for its compassionate service to the people and expressed hope that the financial support would help the hospital continue its impactful work in the community.
