Gangtok, May 17: Aakraman Sporting Club clinched the Sikkim Premier League (SPL) 2025 title for the second time, defeating Singling Sporting Club in a high-energy final held at Paljor Stadium. With this victory, Aakraman SC took home the coveted trophy and a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh, while runners-up Singling SC received Rs 10 lakh and medals.
The month-long tournament, organised by Football Development Private Limited in collaboration with the Government of Sikkim and Dear Lotteries, culminated in a grand finale attended by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Chief Justice Biswanath Somadder, Speaker Mingma Norbu Sherpa, and other dignitaries.
The event featured cultural performances and a live concert by singer Lucky Ali, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

Best Coach: Nicolas Rai (Sikkim Dragons FC) – Rs 25,000
Semi-finalists Sikkim Dragons FC and Thunderbolt North United FC were also acknowledged for their performance.
In his closing address, the Chief Minister declared the league officially closed and lauded the efforts of all involved. The success of SPL 2025 has reaffirmed Sikkim’s growing presence on the national football map.
