Guwahati, May 22: Bamin Tarang, Director (HRD&E), North Eastern Council (NEC), participated in the 4th Foundation Day of IITG BioNEST at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.

He inaugurated the Startup Expo along with Dr Chayya Chauhan, Senior Manager at the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), in the presence of Dr Swapnil Sinha, CEO of IITG BioNEST, Prof. Dipankar Bandyopadhyay, Project Investigator, and other dignitaries.

During the event, certificates were presented to 17 startups that completed the NEC-sponsored NEC-Ignite Cohort 1.0. The occasion also marked the announcement of 15 new startups selected for NEC-Ignite Cohort 3.0.
