Gangtok, May 23: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Thursday and extended a formal invitation for him to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood.

The Defence Minister accepted the invitation and conveyed his willingness to participate in the celebrations.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also congratulated Rajnath Singh on the success of Operation Sindoor, terming it a significant achievement in India’s counter-terrorism efforts. He commended the operation as a proud milestone under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the Defence Minister’s continued support and guidance towards the progress and development of Sikkim.
