Nagaland Health Department Issues Alert Amid Rise In COVID-19 Cases Across India

Kohima, May 29: The Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department has urged health authorities to increase vigilance and preparedness following a recent surge in COVID-19 cases nationwide.

The department advised the public to maintain hygiene by avoiding overcrowded and poorly ventilated places, wearing masks in crowded areas, covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, and refraining from spitting in public.

Hospitals have been directed to assess their preparedness, including availability of beds, medicines, oxygen supply, medical equipment, staff, and vaccination coverage.
