Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to initiate a thorough investigation into the death of Rosmita Hojai, a woman from Dima Hasao district in Assam, whose body was recovered from the River Ganga in Rishikesh.
Rosmita was reported missing on June 6, and her body was found five days later. Expressing concern over the incident, Sarma posted on social media platform X: “We are distressed by the death of Rosmita Hojai, particularly the circumstances surrounding her death. I have personally requested the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri @pushkardhamiji to examine the issue, so that justice can be delivered.”
