The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM) on Monday officially announced the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025, recording an impressive overall pass percentage of 91.37%.
As per official data, a total of 33,755 students appeared for the examination, which was conducted across 155 centres statewide from February 19 to March 7, 2025.
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the results were issued in the form of Grades and Grade Points, without revealing individual subject marks in the Certificate-cum-Grade Statement. This move aims to promote holistic learning and reduce examination-related stress among students.
BoSEM informed that schools may collect the Certificate-cum-Grade Statements of successful candidates from May 28, 2025. Meanwhile, individual candidates may obtain their Provisional Certificate-cum-Grade Statement from May 14, 2025, upon payment of Rs. 1500 along with Rs. 100 for the application form.
For students who did not pass the HSLC 2025 examination, the Board has allowed re-admission to Class X in their respective schools within 45 days from the result announcement. Schools must submit the names of these students, along with their internal assessment marks, to BoSEM within 60 days.
Additionally, candidates seeking re-scrutiny of their answer scripts can apply between May 15 and May 30, 2025. A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2100 per subject, inclusive of the application form cost, must be submitted. However, BoSEM clarified that re-scrutiny will not involve re-evaluation or re-examination of answer scripts.
BoSEM has urged all students and institutions to adhere strictly to the prescribed deadlines and procedures.
The official result declaration event was attended by Secretary Education (S) Naorem Praveen, IAS, as Chief Guest; BOSEM Chairman Akham Jokumar Singh as President; and BOSEM Secretary Tilelal, MCS official Ng. Bhogendra Meitei, and Controller of Examinations Ayan Thoi Singh as Guests of Honour.
