Agartala, June 19, 2025: The Youth and Women wings of the Tipra Motha Party submitted two deputations to the Panisagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sushanta Debbarma during a mass deputation program held on Wednesday noon in Panisagar.
The event was jointly organized by the North District Damcherra Langkai and Noagang Zonal YTF units of the Tipra Motha party, saw the participation of nearly 800 party supporters and leaders. The rally began from Panisagar Motor Stand and passed through Panisagar Bazar and the Assam-Agartala National Highway, culminating at the SDM’s office. Security was significantly tightened in and around the venue to ensure peace and order during the gathering.
Notable attendees included Khokhan Tripura, President of the TMP’s North District YTF; Damcherra Sub-Zonal Chairman Tasiram Reang; party candidate for Panisagar Assembly Joychung Hallam; Women Federation Central Committee Member Sandhya Rani Debbarma; Noagang Sub-Zonal Chairman Mokamlal Hallam; and social workers David Reang and Jackson Debbarma.
The first deputation demanded identification and deportation of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, while the second called for the establishment of a government college in Damcherra, aiming to serve the educational needs of nearly 18,000 residents in the area.
Receiving the deputations, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sushanta Debbarma assured the delegation, saying, “Your concerns are valid. I will forward both demands to the higher authorities of the relevant departments for consideration.”
