Agartala, June 25, 2025: Tripura Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday announced that a total of 775 Gram Panchayats and Village Committees across 392 revenue villages will benefit from two major initiatives — Dharti Aba Janajatiyya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) and Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan. The campaigns commenced on June 15 and will continue till June 30, 2025.

Addressing media following a meeting with tribal leaders and party workers at the Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Minister Nath said that the dual campaigns are being undertaken across the state as part of the celebrations to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

“This is not just an outreach; it’s a mission for holistic development. Under DAJGUA, 20 departments will work in tandem to ensure that services and schemes reach the grassroots in 52 blocks across eight districts,” said Minister Nath. He further highlighted that the initiatives reflect the government’s core commitment to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas — inclusive growth and governance.

The Minister, who is overseeing implementation in the West District, stated that seven Rural Development (RD) Blocks in the district will host activities under the Abhiyan on specific dates. These include Jirania, Lefunga, and Mandwi on June 26; Dukli on June 27; Hezamara and Mohanpur on June 28; and Belbari and Old Agartala on June 30.

“As part of the campaign, various programs such as health camps, awareness drives, art and quiz competitions will be conducted. Our aim is to identify gaps and ensure no one is left behind,” Nath emphasized.

Beneficiaries under the campaign will receive assistance under multiple schemes including ST Certificates, PM-KISAN, Ayushman Bharat, KCC, Mudra Loans, PRTC, PAN Cards, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and support through the ICDS scheme.

Highlighting the launch of the PM JanMan initiative as a precursor, Minister Nath reiterated, “The BJP and our government have always believed in reaching the last person in the queue. These campaigns are dedicated to the Janajati communities who deserve focused development efforts.”

He concluded by asserting that ministers have been given charge of each district to ensure effective implementation, reflecting the state government’s commitment to inclusive progress.
