Agartala, July 01, 2025: The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, and the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission(TRLM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on promoting rural entrepreneurship in Tripura under the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP) at Agartala on Friday last.
The MoU was signed by Ajit Sukla Das, IAS, CEO, Tripura TRLM and Dr. Santanu Mohan Deka, Associate Faculty Member, IIE at the TRLM office. This partnership aims to empower rural entrepreneurs and enhance livelihoods in the region by providing expert support in key areas including Preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Development and training of Community Resource Persons for Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs) and Field-level implementation support.
Through this collaboration, IIE and TRLM will work together to promote and support micro-enterprises, ultimately contributing to the economic development of rural Tripura. The MoU signing marks the beginning of this partnership, with a focus on completing the DPR and initiating implementation activities soon after.
This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the livelihoods of rural entrepreneurs in Tripura, and both organizations look forward to working together to achieve their shared goals.
